Game Boy

Leo gets his mitts on the Spee. That's my boy.

P.S. For anyone who cares, I still think the GB SP is the most elegant games console ever made. I'd put it in a bracket with the iPod and iPhone (I think, having not owned either). In another bracket entirely are the PSP and my elderly 20Gb iRiver brick. Sure, they each do a useful job and are highly functional, but you need to work around their deficiencies (battery life, stick position etc. for the PSP, dreadful UI on the iRiver). The SP has one function - let you carry simple and fun games around and play them until you want to stop - and it does so flawlessly. So what if later consoles are more powerful? They're bigger, more complicated, less focussed. Not 'bad', but less perfect.

Well, Leo is definitely going to be able to teach his Auntie Kate a thing or two (and kick her ar*e frankly!) I still don't really understand what a Wii is (sorry Ben), have never played on a gameboy and the last time I played for sustained periods on a console I was helping Sonic catch golden rings with Uncle Jim. Ah, the Megadrive. Those were the days. Any tips Leo??!!
Love Auntie Kate.

I think Leo would fall for Auntie Jenny's pink ds lite. Elegance itself. Looks like a chic makeup case, goes with everything (a bit like Bonzo), sits svelte among handbag contents until you flip it open to zap planets or race rudely past Bowser in MarioKart (sister - "help yourself"). The screen resolution and sound are crisper than a fresh popped pringle. But as it comes with a perfect pink stylus I think it might be a while before little Leo gets his hands on it ;-) Even Fashionistas like Auntie Kate can opt for the new powder blue!
