looking very pleased with himself, and then repeated the feat for his Daddy who came rushing in to see what all the yelling was about. He coudn't be persuaded to do it again for the video camera, and instead retired to his cot, exhausted but triumphant, for a celebratory nap. Hopefully he will consent to be filmed soon and we will post some video here. Yay!

FIRST STEPS!
It is my proud duty to announce that, after teasing us for about a month, this morning at around 0900 hours, Leo Board took his first steps! He walked about a metre from one chair to another,
looking very pleased with himself, and then repeated the feat for his Daddy who came rushing in to see what all the yelling was about. He coudn't be persuaded to do it again for the video camera, and instead retired to his cot, exhausted but triumphant, for a celebratory nap. Hopefully he will consent to be filmed soon and we will post some video here. Yay!

The rewards of waking early! Grandpa can be the first to congratulate the boy! Perhaps a bit soon to get him a pair of rigger boots (the footwear of the season at Clees Lane and Allt y Capel)........
By the way, all I've got for your picture in the middle of the announcement is a red cross.
Love to all
Grandpa/Ian
"That's one giant step for a man ...etc etc" Well done Leo!
The first step is always the hardest. There'll be no stopping you now and Mummy and Daddy will begin to wonder why they were so delighted that you had become independently mobile!!
Love to you all

Congratulations Leo and commiserations mum and dad - you soon get used to thinking 'hang on where did he go - he was hear just a minute ago'... and spend the next 10 minutes playing hide and seek... or cleaning up the glass of water thats just been sent flying. hee hee enjoy it - when he's running all you'll think is 'how on earth can he run faster than me?'
