In other news he continues to eat us out of house and home. Like his mummy, he loves all forms of bread products. Brown bread, fruit toast, ciabatta, crumpets, muffins, pitta, cheese on toast - all go straight down the hatch with much smacking of lips. He also smacks his lips if someone else is eating something he wants (unless it's another baby in which case he just grabs it out of their hand). Yesterday I discovered him eating one of those Dairylea lunchable packs with cheese spread and crackers, which he'd found in the oven of the toy kitchen at mum's group. Bark chippings and gravel are other things that I've had to pull out of his mouth. Oh well.

All the toys in the world and I just want to play Mummy's penny whistle! Ok, point one. I want a slide in my living room. Point two. Since when did toy ovens come with *real* dairylea cheese and cracker sets - I LIKE it! Point three, er I always do this and forget point three in the haste to outline points one and two. Point four. He's HUGE! I had no idea until I saw the picture on Ben's knee. Can't wait to haul him up onto my shoulder for some lolling. I imagine that window may have passed now, however, and it's more a case of hauling him onto your shoulder, down your back like a crawling paratrooper, off the top of the tv, grabbing fingers out of electric sockets, that kind of thing! Do we need some of those socket guards by the way?! Uncle Alex has a lot of power bars, let's just say ; )) Thanks for all the great pictures, did the birthday cake have some filth in it? Its insides didn't look entirely blonde, but it was a very good-looking cake, mmm. HAPPY BIRTHDAY again little Leo, love from your aunty jenny, counting down to your visit. Oh, and while I'm here, Helen says do you want her travel cot for our house? xxx
Don't worry about socket guards, as you can imagine we have a lot of wires in this house too, we will just watch him like a hawk! The cake had a *few* sultanas in, hence mum's snooty comments, it was carrot and orange cake with cream cheese frosting, very nice thank you. Don't worry about the travelcot (but thanks for the offer Helen) I am borrowing one from Amanda's friend, will get in touch with her and arrange for you to get hold of it (and the car seat and high-chair-booster-seat thingy). Thanks for the lovely long comment sister :-)
He looks robust rather than chubby to me, and solid is as solid does, as my great aunt used to say!
I think bark chippings and gravel are an excellent choice for lunch, particularly if the alternative is Dairylea Lunchables. (Am enthralled by recent Canadian tv advert attempting to sell Nutella as a healthy product for children too...)
Dear Leo,
I have just played an online game with your virtual friend, little Henry Deane, where I Googled his name to see what came up. Henry has just spent some time learning to Google with his Daddy, and I imagine you're already quite good at it, when you can get Bonzo off the internet, that is (www.evianliveyoung.co.uk). Anyway, I thought you might like to see the results of GoogleLeo, since Uncle Alex is at the moment talking into a headset on his xbox360 saying things like "are you on the other side of the river?", "oh yes, I can see you now", "I'm out of sniper ammo but I've got a ton of shotgun stuff", and, best yet, "was that you who just fell in?". Let's just say Aunty Jenny is making her own fun this evening. So, your name produced some fascinating links. First of all, the famous people - Leo Tolstoy, Leonardo DiCaprio, Roman Emperor Leo (crowned 7 February 457, couple of years back), Leo Benjamin (you know, the unicyclist performer), Leo Robert the former Mr Universe, and actor Leo McKern. If you were so minded, you could also check out the sites How Leo Are You?; Leo's Professional Audio Inc.; Leo's Dancewear (costumes, shoes, bodywear); Saint Leo University (get a "ground-based" or "master" degree - hmmm, reputable); Tech Questions - Ask Leo!; LEO (Link Everything Online); and best of all, LEO AWARDS 2006. Let's just say, I know who I'm voting for. Love to the olds.
Aunty Jenny x
Hi - just read the above. Needless to say if you do need anything then just let me know. With the arrival of Izzy's little brother or sister in September everything is out and ready now (well I have good intentions to get it out of the loft very soon anyway). So its no hassle. It sounds like Amanda is supplying most things - nice one amanda! But I do have a full on high chair should you need it (tho its a big Mamas and papas strap him, he's going nowhere(!) one which may be overkill for leo. let me know. looking forward to seeing you. Must go as bump is kicking me and reminding me that if i dont eat soon its going to make me regret it!
lots of love Helen david izzle and bump.
